As counterpart to VIA's Volunteer Program, Trans-Pacific Exchange (TPE) organizes 2-5 week study programs that promote in-depth, personalized cross-cultural exchange between students, educators and professionals from Asia and the United States. The programs take place at Stanford University and the San Francisco Bay Area or in Asia and focus on a variety of social and academic themes. In keeping with VIA's mission, volunteerism and public service are components of TPE's programs.
